A few days ago Liz went to LA without me.
She said it was lots of fun anyway and wanted to share this photo with all you dog lovers:
Aren’t they cute? Apparently there are lots of fun things to see and do in LA! Unfortunately there wasn’t a frenchie soap. Perhaps I should let them know what they are missing…
I wanted to tell you about a new banner that Liz made for my etsy shop.
Nice and summery, isn’t it?
And much nicer than the old one!
She’s just so into the seaside and all things nautical right now.
Anyway, hope you all have a good weekend, I’m off to Santa Barbara to visit my friends Alfie and Chloe:

Can’t wait to share my adventures with you!
Not for me, of course! I have a look that works for me very well, thank you!
Liz went to get her hair cut at a new place (same stylist; the supertalented Katie) in Little Italy called Salon Tonic.
I came along because I was promised a trip to the beach afterwards.
I was very well-behaved and of course everyone loved me! I’m not being conceited–people just gravitate towards me. And I like people to like me.
Here is a picture of me with a new friend that I made:
He even shared a little cookie crumb with me!
You know, it’s good to be me…:)
This is the latest in the repeats series- a commission for a dog named Pixel:
Isn’t she beautiful?
We heard that her owner enjoyed this very much and we hope you do too!
Sometimes I like to hide in unusual places. This is where Liz found me the other day:
Under the desk, behind the filing cabinet. It’s one of my favorite spots.
The first time I ever went in there I didn’t tell anyone and I didn’t come out when they called me. Liz and her neighbors were searching everywhere–down at the park, around the block, and I was in the house the whole time!
Now Liz knows I like to go in there, but she doesn’t know why. See those ridiculous wires everywhere? Liz hates them, but I think it’s fun to find my way through them and back into my little corner, where I am safe from the world…
This past weekend was Liz’s birthday. So imagine my surprise when a package arrived for me!
Unfortunately, it didn’t contain a delectable mix of treats, or a toy…it was a new outfit.
A jean jacket, no less. The next day, Liz actually woke me from a nap to put this thing on me. Now, I know I look handsome in clothes, but this is too much! I thought after I outgrew my sweater and we moved back to San Diego where it is warm, I would not have to suffer such indignities any longer!
Now as I have mentioned before, I am an ideal size. However, my body type is a bit chestier than some other dogs’ might be…and so, it does not button! Well, one button does close, but then it just unsnaps. I think this might be a good thing though, since I might not have to wear it often? I hope not. I really was in no mood for this:
In fact, it downright depressed me:
Why is this necessary?
Last week, Liz took me to visit my friend Parker again. He lives in a part of town called “Banker’s Hill”, in a lovely apartment with lots of glass and great views. We were very excited to see each other again:
Here I am waiting for Parker to come off the couch and play:
And here he is pretending to ignore me:
Then he attacked!
After we played for a while and Liz & her friends drank some tea and ate cookies without giving us any, they decided to take us out.
We are both very well trained and immediately sat down so we could get our leashes on. (Okay, maybe we were bribed a little).
It is a nice neighborhood to go walking in. There are a lot of big old houses and there is an old suspension bridge that goes across a canyon. Here we are on it:
Liz does not like that bridge very much but we don’t care. We just want to get to the other side! There are even bigger houses at the other end. Liz & Frank like to look at things like that & choose their favorite ones.
There is one house that Frank likes, with a very Asian themed garden. It has some cool black bamboo around the outside. He & Liz always peek over the gate to see what’s new with the garden. I couldn’t see anything, but here is the view to downtown San Diego. As you can see it is very hilly around there.
When we got back to the house, Parker and I were both very tired. Parker decided to have a little rest on the couch.
We still had a little energy left over to play some more, though.
And then we went home! I hope we get to see each other again soon!
I have a cousin who is a chihuahua. His name is Buster Jones.
Unfortunately, we sort of hate each other.
It’s not my fault. I try to play with him when he visits, but he just growls at me and runs away. So, I get back at him by stealing his food and not letting him eat any of mine. The rest of the time we just ignore each other.
But I will admit he is pretty cute.
Do you remember when I told you Liz made a piece called “Henri Repeats”? Well, she made one of Buster, and here it is:
Nice, but one Buster is enough for me.
Today Liz made me go with her to see the tax man. He talks a LOT about un-tax-related things, and Liz says he likes having a captive audience. She figured I’d be her ticket outta there if things got real bad.
So, I had to sit in the office (on the floor, mind you) while he asked her boring questions and told stories about his dachsund, who, obviously, is not as cute as me.
BUT the reward for this was I got to go to the beach.
Yes, this makes me happy.
I haven’t been in a while, and usually we don’t even go to this one. Liz says she likes it more these days though. They seemed to have cleaned it up since she last lived here.
The tide was out so I could explore the rocks, and of course I had to pose there (literally, Liz made me).
How handsome, no?
Once that was over, I ran away.
As usual I was not so keen on the water, even though it wasn’t that cold today. If it’s hot I like it more, but I never go swimming. Just up to my chest, and I don’t like the waves, because I don’t like water on my head.
I decided to head back up to the rocks to check out the social scene. This young fellow was very friendly:
A little too much so, if you ask me.
So I decided to go for a walk, but not before saying hello to this dog:
Then I made a run for it.
Dang it! Liz made me pose again.
I am quite accommodating, but that’s because I thought she might have a cookie for me.
But she said she was all out! Next time, she needs to bring more than one!
So, it was back off down the beach with me:
The sun was just beginning to set. I couldn’t help but take a moment to myself to reflect on its beauty.
We started making our way back up the beach. Then I spotted this little lovely:
I do like pugs! This one was a cutie. It’s too bad you couldn’t see her face.
After a quick hello, Liz and I were off, back to the car for a drink and a rest!
And the best part is, we’ve been home ages and she hasn’t even made me have a bath yet!
Liz said you’re probably bored of hearing about me watching her and Kristin design and sew pillows, but she wanted to preview some of the new collections they are working on and also she said I am so cute that you would probably want to see another picture of me no matter what I am doing.
So here is the picture of me:
I am saying, “What, are you kidding me? More pictures of me waiting for you to get done sewing?”
And here are some of the things they are working on putting together:
They pretty much finished that collection. You will have to see it when it’s made up. It will be cool. And here is the next one they will be doing:
Or something like that. It usually changes a lot from this initial stage, but we’ll see! I will be sure to post more pictures when those are ready.
There are a few pillows that are finished that you haven’t seen yet, but the light was really bad that day so pictures did not get taken. Maybe by next week!
