For the shoe-obsessed Frenchie/Boston lover (describes me to a T!), I present the “Shorty Loafer” by Marc Jacobs:
$228 at zappos.
Come on…you know you want to!
The other week, I was invited to attend an exclusive soiree. This was to celebrate Parker’s first birthday. Of course I accepted!
There isn’t much that I love more than a good party.
I got to meet and play with some new friends, too. Here is Sprout:
This is the best picture Liz could get out of like 20 pictures of him. He just would not hold still!
This little lady received a lot of attention from us boys:
She was the only female there!
Buster went, too, but as I may have mentioned before, he is somewhat anti-social to other dogs. Here he is telling Parker to get lost:
We got to eat cupcakes. I was very excited about that, of course!
So was Parker.
After that we opened presents. Parker got more presents than his humans got on their birthdays!
James fed us all waaay too many treats. Delicious!
I can’t wait to go to another party. What do you think? Do you like to host or attend doggy birthday parties?
After Liz finished getting her hair cut last week, we went over to Parker’s house and then to get some lunch:
Well, I should say Liz and Frank got lunch; me and Parker got to sit under the table and wait for scraps. Luckily, a bag of SunChips flew off the table, so I got to have a few extras.
Also, the lady at the deli gave Parker and me a Milk Bone. We had to share it, so Liz & Frank had to separate us while we ate. We have been known to have a few incidents over food, which Liz says are my fault. Once we got into a fight over a wind-up piece of sushi because I mistakenly thought it was edible…:(
You could see how that could happen, right?
After lunch, we got back in the car and drove down to Coronado. It was a lovely day. Parker immediately went crazy and started running around, and I did my usual routine of strolling down the beach on my own, peeing on every visible piece of seaweed. But then we all went for a little walk:
Frank gave me tummy rubs in the sand:
Parker met some poodles who were very unfortunately dressed (well, one of them was!)
Liz says that is “wrong”. I say, what is wrong about it? She is already a poodle. It is to be expected.
Frank told Parker he was running too wild, and made him be carried for a while:
Parker did not like this very much. He does not really like to have his picture taken. I told him, you have to just roll with it because our humans are crazy for pictures!
I am used to it and I happily pose (as long as I am not dressed in some outfit, then I do not like it!)
(See, Parker still looks sad)! We were visited by some new friends:
Unfortunately, I stepped on something I shouldn’t have and my paw started hurting a lot. Usually I’m very brave and Liz has a hard time telling if something is wrong with me. But I was limping and then I just laid down in the sand:
Frank tried to make me feel better by brushing me and giving me cuddles:
But it was still hurting a lot! So we decided to go home. Liz washed my paw at the doggie faucet and then we were ready to get in the car. I just had to sit by Parker– I was already starting to forget about my paw! Don’t we look cute sitting together in the back seat?
I can’t wait to go to the beach again!
Last week, Liz took me to visit my friend Parker again. He lives in a part of town called “Banker’s Hill”, in a lovely apartment with lots of glass and great views. We were very excited to see each other again:
Here I am waiting for Parker to come off the couch and play:
And here he is pretending to ignore me:
Then he attacked!
After we played for a while and Liz & her friends drank some tea and ate cookies without giving us any, they decided to take us out.
We are both very well trained and immediately sat down so we could get our leashes on. (Okay, maybe we were bribed a little).
It is a nice neighborhood to go walking in. There are a lot of big old houses and there is an old suspension bridge that goes across a canyon. Here we are on it:
Liz does not like that bridge very much but we don’t care. We just want to get to the other side! There are even bigger houses at the other end. Liz & Frank like to look at things like that & choose their favorite ones.
There is one house that Frank likes, with a very Asian themed garden. It has some cool black bamboo around the outside. He & Liz always peek over the gate to see what’s new with the garden. I couldn’t see anything, but here is the view to downtown San Diego. As you can see it is very hilly around there.
When we got back to the house, Parker and I were both very tired. Parker decided to have a little rest on the couch.
We still had a little energy left over to play some more, though.
And then we went home! I hope we get to see each other again soon!
So last week I promised to share with you more of my adventures with Parker. I hadn’t seen him in a few months until yesterday, and he is taller than me now, though much skinnier. We got on smashingly. Now that he is big enough we can play. When he was little I had to be more careful with him.
We decided to take some pictures in front of my house:
Just kidding, that’s not really my house, Liz would never go for these hideous awnings!
Honestly, I find photo shoots so BORING; I would rather just eat grass (and I do!)
Parker’s not too keen on them either, but I told him you just have to go with it!
Then who knows, you might at least get a little treat out of it, or a scratch.
We ended up getting a walk all over the park. And believe me when I say we were tired little pups when we got home! Parker passed out on the couch:
And I squished myself into his bed:
It was just right, really…
Yesterday Liz & Frank took an inspirational trip to the Laguna Art Museum. They went to see this:
He is one of Liz’s most favorite painters.
They went without me of course.
But they brought me something back:
It was a mini Sprinkles cupcake. Liz told me she never had one before but it was pretty much the best cupcake she ever had. I liked mine too, once I was finally allowed to eat it!
While we’re on the subject, I’d like you to meet my friend Parker. He is Frank’s best friend and he got a cupcake too:
Hopefully you will get to see more of him as we have more adventures together!
